Location was excellent as was value for money. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast which was included was served each morning in room which was nice. Also food and drink was available for purchase at prices often lower than at restaurants or cafes.
As the hotel was in an older building air conditioning was provided by an in room floor unit. This was a minor issue.
The staff were very helpful in nearly every way. The location promotes long walks through the historic district and the staff know all the shortcuts. Hotel facilities were adequate but no more than adequate and perhaps an upgrade will bring the facilities into line with the great staff.
The services you would normally expect of this type of hotel seemed a bit old and tired.
Everything was perfect, it was close to center and the staff was very friendly !!
It is a charming hotel with lots of character. It is very secure. The staff are delightful and very helpful. It is in an excellent location near the Trevi fountain and spanish steps. Good restaurants close by. Good WiFi and free.
The shower recess is quite small are most in Europe. Lucky I am not very big.
The location was very ideal - just 2 minutes walk to the Spanish steps and very close to good cafes and restaurants.
The elevator is extremely small and takes a very long time to reach the 3rd floor - very uncomfortable when it is hot and stuffy outside. When we checked in we specifically asked for a open and light exposed room but instead we were given a small and very dark room. When we complained we were told that we could not be moved into a better room - not acceptable considering we booked the room months in advance! The beds were uncomfortable and very old. Breakfast was served in the room, which is an absolute joke - how can you possibly eat breakfast when there is no where to sit. The breakfast was very poor - 2 bread rolls, some stale orange flavoured croissants and the coffee was instant - very disappointing - isn't Italy the place to go for coffee? The bathroom was pathetic - the shower was tiny! you could hardly move around in there or bend over to shave your legs. Another negative was that we had to hand our keys to reception every time we left the room and then pick them up again when we returned. All in all, I would not stay at this hotel again.
Cannot say a bad word about this hotel. The staff were exceptional, the standard of cleanliness was excellent and the breakfast brought to the room every morning was always very fresh, their coffees and freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing! The location is a two minute walk from the Spanish Steps and five minutes from the Trevi fountain. With numerous bars/cafes/restaurants around the area I would say it was ideally situated in a relatively quiet typically narrow cobbled Roman street. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the centre of Rome.
Great location between Spanish steps and trevi fountain. Excellent staff with good English. Breakfast simple but nice. Extremely quiet. Fantastic stay.
Shower was loose and needed repairing and can be difficult to find.
The location was excellent only steps from the Spanish Steps in Rome. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The value for the price is once of the best I have encountered in Rome. The lobby and sitting area has a computer and free wifi for guests. The staff made great recommendations on local restaurants and arrangements a car for our return to the airport.
The breakfast was very simple...buns, yogurt, cheese and coffee. It was included in the hotel price (€8). I would probably opt out of the breakfast next time.
Good location in center of rome. Nice and clean room and very good and a very good staff.
The hotel was very central and clean, and although it is in the centre (2 minutes by walk) from the spanish steps, it was really quiet. Breakfast was adequate and the staff really helpfull. Room was quite big. Overall, it was a good hotel, not luxurius.
Rooms didn' t have fridge and furniture was oldfashioned from the 19th century. Furniture needs decoration.
The location is great, very close to Piazza di Spagna. The room is very clean and the bathroom has all needed facilities in it, including a hairdryer. There is a small metal safe in the room. The breakfast is brought to the room. The staff is very helpful (it was heavily raining in the morning and I asked for a taxi. The lady at the reception called for a long time to find a taxi for me.)
The walls are very thin. It makes it impossible to sleep a bit more in the morning because you hear every noise from the corridor. There were refurbishment works when I stayed and I had to take the stairs up to the 3rd floor as the workers were using the lift for carrying waste bags. The single room I have stayed was extremely small with a view to an internal courtyard (not much to see). There is no airconditioning and for July it is too hot. I slept with the window open and it was acceptable.
Excellent location in the Spagna district of Rome. The hotel is stylish and sophisticated, while small enough to be intimate and friendly. The staff are wonderful - willing to go the extra mile help in any way.I Would most definitely recommend Hotel Suisse.
Let me repeat that we loved the Hotel Suisse. If we had to pick an area for improvement it would be the room airconditioning units, which are noisy and not very effective.Still loved the hotel though...
Excellent location- close to Spanish Steps & Trevi fountain. Very reasonable price. Very spacious, clean, comfortable bedroom - enjoyed having breakfast brought to room. Big fan kept room pleasantly cool. Excellent security- had easy to use safe in room and impressive security entrance. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and efficient. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when I return to Rome.
Street outside was quite dark at night- street light not working. As I was travelling with my 18 year old daughter, I felt a little nervous about walking along the dark area in front of the hotel.
A charming small hotel brilliantly located near the top of the Spanish steps and the metro.
The location, courteous service, Wi-Fi and value for monies.
